About the Artist
Sara Golish, an accomplished visual artist based in Toronto, has forged a remarkable path in the world of art, excelling in figurative drawing, painting, and sculpture. Her artistic journey began at an early age, evident even as a toddler, and by the age of 7, she had already set foot on her creative path by attending art classes. Throughout high school, she honed her skills at the Windsor Center for the Creative Arts, and her passion led her to OCAD University in Toronto.
In 2008, Sara's dedication earned her a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Drawing & Painting and a minor in sculpture. Her exceptional "Proficiency in draughtsmanship" was recognized with the prestigious Eric Freifeld Award.
Shortly before graduating from university, Sara obtained a prominent role in decorative painting, where her talents adorned various spaces with beautiful murals, bas relief, gilding, and faux finishes, showcasing both traditional and contemporary styles. Her portfolio boasts a diverse range of projects including high-end residential, corporate, and retail interior design across cities like Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Sarasota, and Barbados.
Yearning to broaden her artistic horizons, Sara leaped into graphic and web design and development courses at George Brown College in 2011. During this time, she also secured an internship at an advertising agency, where she delved into graphic design.
Fueled by artistic exploration and adaptability, Sara wholeheartedly embraced her passion for creating captivating environments as she enrolled in an interior design program, showcasing exceptional aptitude. With determination, she completed the entire program flawlessly, earning a diploma as an interior designer.
Sara’s diverse skill set and passion for the arts have enabled her to continually evolve and push boundaries, leaving a lasting impression through her captivating works.
